About Me

Welcome! My name is Anaya. I am a 16 year old living in New York City with a passion for change. Through my years of growing up in the city, I have noticed hunger as a growing crisis. As someone who shows their love through food, this was devastating to witness. In August of 2025, I started Baked with Love to share my passion for baking while documenting the impact I was making on my community. After several months of privately documenting, I decided to begin to share my journey to inspire any other home cooks and bakers to share their goods with their community.

Baked with Love is a blog dedicated to sharing recipes gathered from various websites, aimed at encouraging home bakers and cooks to donate their goods to soup kitchens or community fridges.

The Problem

Many community fridges rely on packaged food donations. Fresh, homemade baked goods are less common because they require time, skill, and resources. Thus, users are the fridge do not have access to filling, quality goods.

My initiative, Bake it Forward, aims to empower young bakers to donate fresh baked goods to New York City community fridges. By sharing these recipes, I hope to inspire home bakers and cooks to share their love through homemade goods with those in need. Together, we can make a meaningful impact and spread warmth and nourishment to those who need it most.

The Solution: Bake it Forward

My Mission

To fight food insecurity by providing fresh, homemade baked goods to community fridges while empowering young people to serve their communities through baking. I aim to create a community of kindness and generosity through the joy of baking.
